# Notifications

> Alert customers about price drops, back-in-stock, and low-stock changes on their saved products.

The notifications feature alerts signed-in customers when products on their lists have a price drop, come back in stock, or are running low on inventory. Notifications appear both as a dedicated view in the drawer and as a callout card on the home view.

## Disabling notifications

Notifications are enabled by default. To hide them, disable the notification button in the drawer header, remove the navigation item from the drawer footer, and hide the notifications section on the home view:

```js theme={null}
window.SwishOptions = {
  ui: {
    drawer: {
      sections: [
        {
          type: "drawer-header",
          options: { notificationButton: false },
        },
        {
          type: "drawer-footer",
          options: {
            items: [
              { id: "home", enabled: true },
              { id: "saves", enabled: true },
              { id: "notifications", enabled: false },
              { id: "orders", enabled: true },
              { id: "profile", enabled: true },
            ],
          },
        },
      ],
    },
    home: {
      sections: [
        { type: "notifications", hidden: true },
        { type: "saved-items" },
        { type: "lists" },
      ],
    },
  },
};
```

See the [Drawer](https://swish.app/docs/guides/customize/views/drawer.md) and [Home](https://swish.app/docs/guides/customize/views/home.md) view guides for the full section configuration.

## Notification types

Swish generates three types of notifications automatically:

| Type | Description |
| - | - |
| `saved_product_price_drop` | A saved product's price has decreased. |
| `saved_product_back_in_stock` | A previously out-of-stock saved product is available again. |
| `saved_product_low_in_stock` | A saved product's inventory is running low. |

## How it works

The notifications view lists all unread and read notifications in reverse-chronological order. Each notification shows the product image, a description of the change, and a relative timestamp. Tapping a notification opens the product detail view and marks it as read.

A **Mark all as read** action is available at the top of the list.

### Since last visit callout

On the drawer home view, a summary card shows how many price drops, back-in-stock, and low-stock events occurred since the customer's last visit. Tapping the card navigates to the full notifications view.

## SDK intents

```js theme={null}
swish.intents.invoke("view:notifications");
```
